Day Four - Seven Wants
1. Children. One of the greatest goals in my life is to be a mother. I hope that we are blessed with the chance to have children of our own. Between working with young children and watching close friends go through hard times and struggles, I know that it is a miracle to bring a healthy child into the world. I can't wait to experience all of the love and challenges that come with a child.
2. A Healthy Lifestyle. I have been slacking on my health the past few years. Now, with the discussion of children, I really want to prepare myself and my lifestyle to be a good role model and to raise a healthy child. I want to become more active, eat healthier, and get my body in shape. Hopefully, I can overcome my frustration with my current lifestyle and body, and make some healthier choices in 2012.
3. Organization. Being organized makes life so much easier. Along with many other changes I am making for 2012, having routines and organization will help cut down on lots of stress. Being a teacher, we are programmed to develop routines and procedures in order to make the day smoother. I need to apply that method to my life! The hardest part is developing the plan and following through with it.
4. A Tropical Vacation. We have discussed taking a big, tropical vacation many times, but we never follow through with it. Until recently, I could never justify spending the money on a destination vacation. Things are starting to settle in now that I have finished school and have been working a full time job for almost two years, along with Ed's full time salary. I think that a week in Jamaica, just relaxing on the beach, would do me some good :)
5. A Long, Happy Marriage. I have to say that I am well on my way. I hope to have many, many, many more years with my best friend and husband, Ed. If we are given the chance to have a family, I want my children to see a healthy and loving marriage. Marriage takes work, and if both people are willing to put in the work, I think that is definitely possible to achieve a long, loving marriage.
6. Travel Through Europe. I want to see it all! Italy. France. Germany. Ireland. Scotland. Just to name a few. So much history and beauty. I know this Bucket List item will probably come later in life, but I can start planning now!
7. Celebrate NYE in Times Square. This may seem silly to some, but I have always watched the Ball Drop and thought that it would be amazing to share that experience with thousands of people in the heart of NYC. Perhaps, if we make it through December 2012 ;) I can check this off my Bucket List in 2013!

I thought the NYC thing would be cool. But I'm not so sure about the bathroom situation :/
ReplyDeleteYou sound like Ed! He is such a turd about big crowds too. I may have to give him a sedative and slap a diaper on him if I want to go! Lol. Isn't that a great mental picture. Haha
