Day Five - Six Places
1. Ringgold, Georgia. My precious Hometown. As most of you know, we experienced some severe weather and natural disasters this year. It was absolutely heartbreaking to see the place of so many precious memories blown to bits and scattered around. To this day, I am still saddened. I love that the buildings and businesses are going back up, but it is not the same. I never would have imagined that a tornado would blow through my town. We didn't even think it was possible. I will always have a special place in my heart for Ringgold. It's great to be a Ringgold Tiger!
2. Beaufort, South Carolina. Definitely one of the most peaceful and beautiful places I have visited. We have been going to South Carolina, for vacation, for as long as I can remember. Hunting Island, Charleston, and Beaufort were where I spent many summers. Hundred year old Live Oaks covered in Spanish Moss. Antebellum Homes. Beautiful, natural beaches. Marshland wildlife. Shrimp Boats out on the water. My favorite spot in Beaufort is the row of swings overlooking the Bay. I could sit there for hours...
3. Jacksonville, Alabama. A very important part of my life. I could not wait to get there. Ever since I was in 8th grade and saw the Marching Southerners/Ballerinas perform, I knew that is where I was supposed to be. I am thankful that I got to be part of such a special group at an amazing school. Even though it was for only 2 years (Thank you, weak ankles), I had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people and make even more wonderful memories.
4. Mamaw's House. I can't even begin to count the memories I have there. Some good, some sad, some funny, and everything in between. I used to kick and scream when it was time to leave. Obviously, I don't do that anymore, but I still love it just the same. My Mamaw and Papaw have a special place in my heart. I love them so much, and I don't know where I would be without them.
5. Forks, Washington. I couldn't call myself a true Twi-Hard if I didn't have this place on my list. I have been to Seattle, but I think it would be fun to visit the home of my pseudo-Hubby, Edward Cullen.
6. Venice, Italy. Do I need to explain why? It is my dream to visit Europe, and Venice is one of my top picks. The miles of canals and romantic Gondola rides. I want to see it in person. The pictures are gorgeous, but I know it would be absolutely breathtaking in person.
