Hadley's Hospital Bag

Hadley's Hospital Bag has been packed and ready for about three weeks now. All that my Hospital Bag has in it is a bar of soap! I thought I would share what I have decided to take Little Miss for our hospital stay. As of now, I am packing for four nights. That way we are ready to stay longer if a C-Section is necessary or any other complication, God forbid. For her and my bags, I looked through countless lists and comments and picked out what I thought we would need. Is it too much? Probably. Do I care? No. Does it make me feel prepared? Yes. So, here is what you can find in her bag:

As previously stated, I have an unhealthy obsession with gowns. One, they are darling! Two, they are practical. So, I packed one for each possible day.

I know that the hospital will provide a cap or two, but these are just so much cuter. The mittens are so she doesn't claw her eyeballs out. Several of her newborn outfits come equipped with built-in mittens, but I am a "just in case kind" of girl. Also, packing several pairs of socks (not pictured).

I am packing a few newborn sized outfits. There is a chance these won't be touched, but again, we have them if we need them.

I am taking one 0 to 3 months sized outfit. Just in case she turns out to be a porker.

Of course, her Coming Home Outfit. I am also packing a spare. Go figure.

I have heard great things about these Swaddle Sacks. These will help her stay snuggled up in the outside world.

I am packing packing burp pads instead of bibs. Most bibs are humongous, and her tiny little stomach wont hold much the first few days. So, no need for a huge bib.

The hospital also has and will provide receiving blankets, but once again, these are just cuter.

Bow Head from birth! The hospital will provide the Soothie paci. I am not a big fan of those, so I am packing another option. Really, it is up to her on paci choice, but a girl still needs options. Also, bringing a pair clippers and file for her nails. I have heard mixed reviews on nail cutting that early. So, if she needs it, we are ready.

I am packing a few supplies for an emergency diaper change on the way home. We only live about twenty minutes from the hospital, but better safe than sorry.

Can't forget the bigger items! The diaper bag itself, her Boppy pillow, and the car seat with a car seat canopy.

It may look like a ridiculous amount for such a tiny human, but I have always packed for the Apocalypse. No reason to change now. If you can think of anything else she might need, feel free to comment. I guess it is time to start packing for myself! The countdown is starting: 10 weeks to go!
