Alright. We have a date. Not my ideal scenario (Today), but there is a finish line.
Haddie decided to play her little trick of small contractions again last night. So, instead of laying down and taking it, I decided to be proactive. I bounced on the yoga ball and walked speed laps around the house until 2am. Finally, I gave up and went to bed. Surely, I did something.
This morning was a disaster. Due to my Contraction Olympics, I was pretty tired from little sleep. Everything I needed to get ready was in the car from being on "Baby Watch." If it could go wrong it, it did. Left the house late. Got behind every slow driver and caught every red light. I just knew this was an omen.
When I finally made it there, they did the usual checks. My BP was up a little: 138/92. My urine was still OK though. I was thinking maybe my elevated BP would be my ticket to the hospital. Once in the examine room, Mary didn't seem too concerned with it. Ok. Hopefully, my exam would show some progress. Nope. Shot down again! I suppose if you are reading this, you are aware that there will be discussion of all things related to "baby." In case you aren't, you have been warned. Not dilated at all. She tried to see if she could push through (Ouch). I know on the scale of things to come, that is nothing. It wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't the highlight of my morning. Regardless, no luck.
So, I picked up my balloon pieces. Again. Now it is time for the game plan. Mary looked at my chart and asked if Tuesday would work. At first, I wanted to say "No." Haha. Today works. I said sure. It is not like I have anything else to do. When she left to go check with the hospital, it started to sink in.
So, ladies and gentlemen, Ed and I will be checking in at 12:01am on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. They will be giving me Cervidil that night, and hopefully things will be rolling to start Pitocin Wednesday morning. Miss Haddie will definitely be here in less than a week! Although, I can totally see the little booger making her appearance sooner now that I finally have a date set. Not that I will argue with that.
So, I will be doing my 39 Week post in a few days, and then hopefully, working on a Birth Announcement! I am waving the white flag. No more crazy Old Wives Tales or tricks. I am going to relax and enjoy my last week of being pregnant! Thanks for stopping by!

Yay!!! I'm so excited for you! I know you are so ready to meet Miss Haddie, but she will be here before you know it! Enjoy these last few days by sleeping late, watching movies/going out with Ed, and also just hop in your car by yourself and drive somewhere because it won't happen again for a while! ;) Keep us posted! I love reading your updates!
