Day Eight - Three Films
1. Shakespeare in Love.
Love this movie! To me, it is one of the ultimate love stories. It is the story of how William Shakespeare wrote Romeo & Juliet. I do not know if it is a true stroy, but then again, does it matter? Gwenyth Paltrow plays Viola, a young aristocratic girl who wants to be an actress, although it is forbidden for women to take the stage. So, she dresses as a boy and joins Shakespeare's troupe of actors. She soon becomes fascinated with him. To find out the rest, you will have to watch for yourself. Definitely, a tear jerker. One of my "go-to" movies.
2. Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
This is my favorite comedy of all time. Russell Brand. Jason Segel. Jonah Hill. Need I say more? I seriously think that I could watch this movie everyday for a week. Actually, I think I did. It is the story of two people coping with a breakup. Every character in this movie is hilarious. I can't even think of my favorite part. There are just too many! Feel free to chime in with yours. What? Don't have one? Go watch it!
3. Adventureland.
I hate to admit it, but I am a closet K-Stew fan, as well. I used to hate her, but I think it was out of jealousy. I mean, her boyfriend is Robert Pattinson. Jealous. Anyways, I have moved on with my hatred, and now accept her. This movie also has the great Jesse Eisenberg in the cast. Love him. Even though his characters always have the same personality and wit, they are always likeable. It is a look at the lives of some college kids at home for the summer during the 80's. They are all employed at the wonderful amusement park known as, Adventureland. There is an underlying romance, but it is definitely not a chick flick. By the way, great soundtrack too.
